Title:
Adam and Eve in Paradise exhibition label Narrative 1
Narrative:

The image of Eve is a depiction of a female figure tending to a male; the woman is touching the man's face representing him as an image of adoration and ultimately to be higher in importance than that of the woman. Judging by the date of the creation of the print, it is interesting to note that an emphasis on social stereotypes has clearly been ever present within society. The image presents a traditional role of men and women, and acts as an important source to refer to in analysing the development of gender relations.
